Welcome to the Rebuilding Clairton Together (RCT) website!
This site is also a great resource about the city of Clairton; who we are, who we were (history), how we function, and what can we do to make things better! This site was created to help educate the community on what we can do to help our city grow and prosper. By providing you with the tools & knowledge, you along with your neighbors can apply them with your wisdom to benefit the community. Clairton has many Government Positions, Boards, Commission, Authorities & Organizations that were created to help us; RCT was formed to educate the community in how to work with these organizations and each other. We believe in learning and teaching by example. We realize no one person or group has all the answers, but together we can be more effective. The information on this site is gathered from many sources. Much of it comes from the "City of Clairton Comprehensive Plan" which was developed in assistance of many groups, organizations, and individuals such as the City Council/School District Partnership Group, Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, Youth Focus Group, and the Dept of Community and Economic Development. This plan was adopted on March 8, 2011.
You can always use the search box at the top of the "HOME" page to type in any topic you wish to find on this site and it will bring up anything that is posted related to your search. The search even works to find information in the downloaded files such as the Home Rule Charter and the Comprehensive Plan. If you know the section you are looking for, enter it in the search.
Below, you can subscribe to updates to the website. You will only receive one email a day with all the updates from that day, and only if there has been an update made. This subscription is delivered to your email by a service offered by Google called "Feedburner"; you must confirm your request via an email that is sent from Feedburner in order to complete your request. If you do not immediately receive a confirmation, please check your spam inbox. Again, welcome! We also have a FB page that you can visit/subscribe. The FB page is a great way to be more interactive and share opinions, ideas, and news.
